I suffer from mental illness, but thanks to Donald Trump proudly leading our nation by the worst parts of his mental instability, I no longer fear being labelled mentally ill. What Trump has done is show that mental illness doesn’t make someone a bad person, it is when their mental illness is given dark forces to feed it and it is not treated, that it becomes a force for anti-social behavior. He literally blew the roof off the mental illness stigma. Incidentally this also marks a moment when our Nation is forced to confront its oedipal issues with power, as we destroyed authority’s (when unwarranted) claim over us, either through patriarchy, or military force, or because it wants to be our Daddy when it just ain’t. Rather than gouge my eyes out, I aim to shatter all golden thrones and make sweet love to lady liberty, as this Motherland so sorely be needin’.
