It’s not really hard to see where he’s going with this. ‘I promoted conspiracy theories, I lied my entire presidency, never took accountability, and now that I face accountability for the crimes I did commit, for when I said ‘frankly we did win this election’ though I didn’t and tried to remain in power against the will of the voters – I am asking you to commit violence and really put my authoritarian far right regime into power and order.
There will be no accountability, there will be no checks and balances, there won’t even be loyalty among Trumpers, as we’ve seen when it’s inconvenient how quickly he throws his people under the bus and disavows his most ardent supporters the second his own ass on the line. We’re looking into a craven nightmare black hole of zero-accountability, increasing violence, unrest, terror, and despair with no actual policy just fear and deflection to ‘the enemy’ causing our woes.
It’s a very poor reboot of Hitler. And we’re all on board for the cast.
