THE BABYSITTER (2017) Calls Out Millennials As Glitchy, OverSaturated Shallow Narcissistic Psychopaths, And Kicks Much Ass Doing It

I really enjoyed this Netflix offering, ‘The Babysitter’ (2017), when I watched it as part of my Halloween theming for the month in quarantine. There is a sequel as well, and if you enjoy the original, it’s definitely worth checking out. This is a hyper-stylized kind of pop-art graphic- horror gore movie, which serves the theme of millennials being the type who would totally go in on a blood cult satanic ritual to get their deepest wishes granted. The directer McG has done several other blockbuster films, and seems to revel in a music-video inspired style to varying degrees. Anyway, if you’re looking for something entertaining to watch for the Halloween season, or a movie that has a ‘loser’ kid fighting pure evil, this is a good one.
